Lightning strike possible cause of house fire
ENTERPRISE STAFF  REPORT
 HIGH POINT
– A possible lightning strike may be responsible for a house fire in north High Point late Monday night.
According to High Point Fire Department spokeswoman Capt. Denita Lynch, a neighbor called in the fire around 9 p.m. She said the house, located in the 2000 block of Glencove Way, was empty at the time.
Lynch said the  fire may have started in the attic and that there was extensive damage to the upstairs area. Investigators were still on the scene late Monday night, but Lynch said early signs point to lightning as the cause.
