DAILY SAW CHECKS

 

  1. Chain brake is operating properly and is undamaged
  2. Check all the guards for damage
  3. Throttle lockout is operating properly and undamaged
  4. Check anti-vibration components
  5. Check air filter
  6. Check muffler
  7. Check saw for loose/missing parts
  8. Check chain for wear and correct tension and that it is facing right direction
  9. Check gas and oil reservoirs

TO WARM UP

 

  1. Pull out the choke
  2. Step on the back handle and grasp the top handle firmly
  3. Pull the starter handle upwards with a few sharp strokes until engine sputters
  4. Push the choke in, pull the starter handle upwards sharply until engine starts
  5. Squeeze the trigger once quickly to set the idle.  Allow the saw to warm up.
  6. Touch the momentary contact switch (the STOP switch) to stop engine.
  7. The saw is now ready for use.
